1. Rhino Virus

Common Cold is caused by a Rhino virus. Viruses are present in nasal discharge, droplets and sputum. Viruses may come out during sneezing, coughing and talking. It can easily spread from a patient to healthy person through air and by communicating each other. Further virus is present in the doorknob, TV remote, Keyboards, Cups, Mobile or anything which have been touched by the patient

2. Dust/Pollution

Exposure to dust or pollution can also contribute one to affect from common cold. Dust particles can block nasal passage and irritate upper respiratory tract. It can make that are dry and vulnerable to infection easily. Person sensitive to dust may be affected by common cold easily.

3. Dry Air

This is common in winter season where the weather is quite dull and dry. In such situation it becomes easy for micro-organism to proliferate and can affect anyone at night in terms of breathing while sleeping.

4. Immunity Issue

People with low immunity are always susceptible to infection easily. People with low immunity can suffer from common cold many times a month.

5. Contact with the patient

Common cold is highly communicable disease. It can spread though close contact with the patient from one to another.
